This article explains how to safely remove the blade from your electric lawnmower.
⚠️ Safety Notice
Be extremely careful when handling the blade, especially if it has recently been sharpened. The blade is sharp and can cause injury if handled incorrectly.
Ensure the lawnmower is switched off and disconnected from the power supply before attempting removal.
Removing the Blade
If the blade is stuck in place, follow these steps:
- Secure the blade using a suitable block (e.g. a wooden block) to prevent it from moving.
- Use a socket wrench on the blade fixing bolt.
- Turn the bolt anti-clockwise to loosen it.
- Apply steady force at first, then gradually unscrew the bolt until it is fully removed.
Important Information
- Take care to avoid contact with the blade edges at all times.
- This procedure does not apply to hover mowers.
