Assembly and Operation Guide (Step-by-Step)
The scarifier is designed to remove moss, thatch, and debris from lawns, helping grass grow healthier by improving airflow and soil absorption. (Yard Force UK | For Life On the Go.)
1. Unboxing and Parts Check
Before assembly, remove all items from the box and confirm you have:
- Main scarifier unit
- Upper handle
- Lower handles (left and right)
- Handle fixing
- Cable clips
- Grass collection bag
2. Assemble the Lower Handles
- Locate the two lower handle bars.
- Position one on each side of the scarifier frame.
- Align the handle holes with the mounting brackets on the machine.
- Insert the bolts through the holes.
- Secure them using the locking knobs or nuts.
- Ensure the handles are tightened evenly on both sides.
3. Attach the Upper Handle
- Place the upper handle above the lower handles.
- Align the connection holes.
- Insert the handle bolts from the inside outward.
- Add washers if provided.
- Tighten using the quick-release clamps or knobs.
- Fold the quick-release levers to lock the handle in place.
4. Secure the Power Cable
- Run the motor cable along the handle bars.
- Use the supplied cable clips to secure the cable to the handle.
- Ensure the cable is not loose or hanging where it could catch during use.
5. Attach the Grass Bag to the Machine
- Lift the rear discharge flap on the scarifier.
- Hook the grass bag frame onto the mounting points.
- Lower the flap so it rests on the bag.
6. Set the Working Depth
The machine has multiple depth settings for different lawn conditions.
7. Starting the Scarifier
- Press the start button.
- Pull the safety lever (clutch bar) toward the handle.
- Release the start button while holding the lever.
The machine will continue running as long as the safety lever is held.
