How do I start my Electric Chainsaw

This article explains how to prepare, start, and safely operate your electric chainsaw.
⚠️ Safety Notice
Before using the chainsaw:
- Ensure the hand guard is in the operating position by pulling it backwards towards the front handle.
- Never operate the chainsaw without biodegradable chain oil.
- Regularly check the chain oil level.
- Ensure the chain is correctly tensioned. A loose chain may come off during use and cause injury.
- Check the work area for hazards, including other people, obstacles, sharp edges, and trip hazards.
- Ensure the mains cable is correctly connected and secured in the cable strain relief.
Starting the Chainsaw
- Disengage the chain brake by pulling the chain brake lever backwards towards the front handle.
- Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands:
- Left hand on the front handle.
- Right hand on the rear handle.
- Ensure your fingers and thumbs fully grip the handles.
- Press and hold the safety lock button using your right thumb.
- While holding the safety lock button, press the On/Off trigger switch.
- The chainsaw will start immediately at operating speed.
- Begin cutting only once the chain is moving.
Stopping the Chainsaw
- Release the On/Off trigger switch.
- The chainsaw will stop immediately.
Important Information
- The safety lock button is only used to unlock the On/Off trigger and does not need to be held after the chainsaw has started.
- Never place the chainsaw onto the material you intend to cut while the chain is stationary.
- Always allow the chain to reach operating speed before making contact with the material.
- Failure to follow these instructions may increase the risk of kickback.
